The primary values of exchange and solidarity are replaced by laws and organizations, supposed to correct the abandonment and selfishness that the law of the market (labor or financial) exacerbates, but by aggravating loneliness, to the point that our leaders invent the neighborhood party, the music festival and a whole bunch of entertainment, like football, the supreme indicator of the moral state of the country. The need for overconsumption to keep the system going induces individual criminal behavior and leads to an increasingly violent society.

I just finished the novel "On the Heart".

A good vision of our world today which is tortured and in bad shape

It's a pleasant and easy read for a well-crafted and very original story. It deserves a TV adaptation, which would be a change from the rubbish on FR3. Bravo!
